Born on April 1, 1934 in the Bronx, NY, he was the son of Irene(Vigdor) and Edward Thal. Russ graduated
from Taft High School and Tulane University. He had a long and successful career in airline industry
management and was the founder, President and CEO of Compuflight, Inc.
Russ enjoyed over 66 years of marriage with Judith (Sonberg) Thal. He was a loving and devoted father
to Susan (Lewis) Roch, Donna (David) Stricker, and Dr. Gary Thal. A true family man, he adored his
grandchildren Jeffrey (Rebecca) Stricker, Marshall (Jessica) Roch, Jacqueline (Ross) Cybul, Stephanie
Roch, Alison Stricker, and Eric Roch. The lights of his life were his great-grandchildren Lewis, Christopher,
and Alex Roch, Alana and Leah Stricker, and Noah Cybul.
