

GOLDSTEIN--Susan, 80, died on Saturday March 23rd at her home in Great Neck, NY. She passed peacefully, surrounded by loved ones after a 10 year struggle with Parkinson's. She is survived by her husband M. Robert (Bob); children Ellen (Gary) Wasserson and Ivan (Elizabeth) Goldstein; grandchildren Laura, Eric and Mirabel; brother Mark. Sue was born in St. Louis, MO in 1932 to Edwin and Rea Wallach, and met her husband Bob while he was stationed there. Upon marrying the couple moved to NYC and then Great Neck. A member of Temple Beth El and Glen Head Country Club, she was an avid golfer and tennis player. Sue was a multifaceted artist who created portraits, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry and murals, which graced many homes on Long Island. She had a vibrant outgoing personality, and most importantly she was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. The funeral will take place at 10am on Monday, March 25th at Mount Carmel Cemetery (Knollwood Park Section) at 57-80 Cooper Ave. Ridgewood, NY (www.mountcarmelcemetery.com). The family will be sitting Shiva at the Goldstein residence after the burial on Monday and on Tuesday from 1pm.
