We met Mrs. Trujillo while visiting our Mother Edna and our Father Max. They were residents at Windsor Health Care Center, along with Alice.
She always was smiling. Alice had a comfortable manner with people, getting them to talk. She accepted persons as they are. Alice never said a cross word about anyone and seemed to bite her tongue when something did go wrong at the nursing home. I think, silently she was praying for that person.
We ate watermelon and anything else we brought to share with her, except chocolate. Alice did not like chocolate. We enjoyed playing games at the center with her and our Mother Edna. It's good to hear laughter from residents of a nursing home. We planted flowers together, while we shared stories of our family with Alice.
When her and our Mother Edna became roommates, it was truly a Blessing. I believe they complimented each other. We were told by the staff, they would talk for hours and laugh together. They also shared the same birth date.
After visiting, with them, we always prayed, together. "The Our Father..." Mrs. Trujillo bowed her head with grace. Then she would give me a kiss and a Blessing.
We were consoled by Mrs. Trujillo, when our Dear Sweet Mother Edna, passed away. She cried along with us. Her dear friend was gone.
We missed seeing Mrs. Trujillo, visiting with her and talking. But because we were not family, the restrictions were in place for visitations due to Covid-19.
We can still see her smiling.
Our sincere condolences to the Family of Mrs. Alice Trujillo.
We were Blessed to have known her, even for a short amount of time. Heaven just rejoiced with another Angel, Mrs. Alice Trujillo.
