I was saddened to hear the news of Amandaâ???Ts passing. I only had the pleasure of meeting Amanda a few times, but on those occasions her sparkling personality and great sense of humour shone through.

Carissa, Andy and families, I am so very sorry for your loss.  Amanda was such a unique and vibrant person so full of life.  I had no idea she had been so many places!  I had the honor of experiencing some of Australia with her and of course, Carissaâ???Ts bachelorette party in San Diego.  I will forever keep the earplugs she gave me so that I was able to sleep in the same room with her.  :) My heart goes out to both of you and your families.  Please know that her spirit will always be with us all.

I did not know Amanda, but I do know that she had to be a phenominal person for you to want to share your love. The choice is a tough from, but from what I have read and heard you made a good one. Uncle Andy I am going to miss aunt Amanda so much. I am so glad that I was able to see her and have fun with both of you before she passed away but so sad that I will not see her again. I will never forget the day we dropped my daughter, Sara, off at CSU and there was Amanda, her new roommate and soon to be forever-friend!!!!!!!  Amanda was smiling and so welcoming - she and Sara immediately were ""meant to be"". I was working the night that Amanda came in to the hospital, and I took care of her 4 of her days there.  The amount of love that she was surrounded with was just phenominal.  You could just feel it the minute you entered the room.  Andy, I could tell that the love you have for your wife came truly from your heart.  I know that you will miss her in body, but she will forever live on in your heart-along with all the lives she has touched while alive and in organ donation.  My heart goes out to each one of you. I only remember her as a young child when I would come over and spend time with Carissa.  She seems to have experienced more in life than many could ever dream of. Just a few weeks ago the family got together for a reunion for her grandmothers birthday.  Even I had the privilage to see her one last time before going to be with God.  I will always remember her with that stuff painted on her face because she lost a bet with her brother.  I also remember her playing with Cassie while I talked with Carissa.  I looked over and saw how much fun she was having.  My mom told me how God let you (Mrs. Money) know that Amanda was at peace and with God by playing the baby music.  That is so amazing and reassuring.  Spending time with the Money's helped me to become a better Christian by seeing how important God was in their lives.  Bless you all for that.  Carissa, I am so sorry for your loss.  May God be with you all and hold you close during this difficult time.

I?'ve been friends with the Money?'s since 1971, and was there when all of the children were born. I remember the day Amanda was born and asked her mother if this was it for her.  She never answered that question?-she just laughed.    After the family move to Colorado, I only saw Amanda a few times.  As a child she was a caring, loving little girl?-which she grew up to be as an adult.  These are the things we need to remember.  To Linda and Larry ?- Amanda will always be in your heart and soul, as she is a part of you.  To Larry II, Carissa and Kirk ?- Amanda was your sister and friend; she will always be that way.  To Andy, Amanda was your sole mate, which will never change.  I am truly saddened by this tragic loss and my heart aches for each of you as you go though these trying days.  Please know that you are in my heart, my prayers and my thoughts every day.  May God be with you and bless you.

I write with such fond memories of a very young Amanda.   With ease, I picture a two year old Amanda in her green dress, white socks and sandals, walking hand in hand between her mom and grandma in the parking lot on our way to our marriage ceremony.   This same young girl with head bands in her hair and holly in her heart bounced from lap to lap in her grandparents home looking for a ?""toss across?"" playmate to throw the bean bags at the ?""X?""s or ?""O?""x.    I can still picture her wide cheese smile and laughter as she rode both the big kids and little kids rides at Hershey Park.   It is easy to see that this very young vibrant Amanda followed the path of happiness in to her adulthood and made life a celebration.   And for that we can all be thankful. We are truly saddened by this tragic loss and even though we did
not know Amanda personally we have known the Applegate's for years and Becky (Applegate) truly loved her aunt Amanda. I think it speaks volumes of the kind of heart she had for first responders and the many miracles she has left behind in her selfless act of saving many lives with her organ donation the impact of this selfless act alone can affect 100's now and maybe millions in the future, we will not know until we get to the other side.
