Aneta Mary Frost of Greeley died Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at the Sterling House in Loveland. She was born May 19, 1928 in Hampton, Iowa to Delos Wells and Lillian (Timmerman) Mott. She was reared and educated in Hampton. She went to Shimer College and graduated from University of Iowa.
Aneta married Buford “Jack” Frost on April 1, 1973 in Hampton, Iowa. He passed away on November 15, 1993. She was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ in Greeley.
She worked for the American Red Cross in the Philippines and in Japan as a recreational therapist. Later she was employed by Bell Telephone Company in Minneapolis, Minnesota and later transferred to Pensacola, Florida. She retired in 1988.
Aneta loved animals, especially her black lab “Mike”. She enjoyed hunting, fishing and horseback riding.
She is survived by her sister, Barbara Straw of Loveland; brother, David M. Mott, PhD. (Mary Ellen Rimsza, M.D.) of Tucson, Arizona; nieces, Paula Jo Mott of Hampton, Iowa, Teresa Warden (Chris) of Loveland, Cindy Brunner (Bob) of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Kelly Mott Lacroix (Patrick) of Tucson, Arizona; nephews, Rick Straw of Laramie, Wyoming, Terry Mott of Hampton, Iowa, Chuck Straw (Bonnie) of Evanston, Wyoming and Brendon Mott of Tucson, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her brother Delos “Dee” Wells.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 27, 2011 at First Congregational Church.
