It is with great sadness that I heard of Art's passing.  Ever since I first had the pleasure of meeting Art in Denver some 25 years ago, it has left an indelible impression on me as a truely wonderful man.  I will never forget at a dinner in the Philippines five years ago meeting a gentleman from New Zealand who was involved in promoting parks and toursim in Nepal.  When I mentioned Art and his work in New Zealand, the gentleman's eyes lit up and he proceeded to tell me that he was a former student of Art's and that it was due to Art that he had become engaged in his conservation and park development. So this proves that Art litterally helped make the world a smaller and better place!
Paul joins me in sending our deepest condolences to Bettie and to all of Art's loved ones.  We hope you are taking some comfort in knowing how many lives he enriched.
