I hope you remember me from PenneY's. Through the many years of helping your Mom when she shopped we became friends.  She was one of the most gracious, warm caring  people I had the privledge of knowing.  We were always going to have lunch together and somehow it never happened.  I just want you to know what a special lady she was.  I finally retired in September and had such regrets I didn't see Betty to say good by and maybe finally have that lunch.  I knew she was not doing well before that.  I just want you to know your family is in my prayers and how much your Mom will be missed, even by someone who was very fortunate to become a close friend just from knowing her through Penney's.  I for one missed seeing her, even as it became so difficult for her to get around, she never gave up.  Your obituary described her so perfectly.  What a beautiful lady she was, inside and out.  I will always remember her as a lot more than a customer, she was a dear friend.

My heart was saddened when I learned of Betty Lou's passing. I am a retired pharmacist at King Sooper's Westlake and grew to know & love Betty Lou over the years, In fact,I just visited with her at the store a couple of weeks earlier.She knew my son had just married a Philliapina girl and we both said how much we loved our daughter-in-laws. I know Clyde that you will miss her terribly as well as the children and grandchildren. She was always so happy and proud to bring her grandchildren into the store for a visit. I'm sorry I won't be able to make the memorial, but will be praying for all of you.

My heart is sadder today to hear of Betty's passing.  I used to work at Toddys and Betty was one of my most favorite customers.  It was always a happy moment to see her come in and greet us.  She was so kind and gracious to those of us who worked there.  We so enjoyed getting to know her, and she even brought us gifts at Christmastime.  Every May Day I would give her bedding plants because it was such a pleasure to see how much she enjoyed them.  My condolences to her family, she was truly someone special.  Sincerely, Suann Haas
