Bill Sameshima passed away at his home on December 22, 2018.He was born October 27, 1926 in Santa Rosa, California to Chohachiro and Kisa (Sakuraki) Sameshima. In 1942 he and his family were relocated to camp Amache in Granada, Colorado. He was drafted into the war in 1944. After the war he and his family moved to Ault, CO where Bill started his farming career.
Bill married Lucille Setsuko Yashumichi on August 27, 1954. They had two children, Carolyn and Wayne. They were married for 62 year when Lucille passed in 2016.
Bill retired from the day to day activities of farming in the late 1990’s although he continued to enjoy working the farm with Wayne, Judi, Keaton, Kobee, and Kisa until his death.
Bill is survived by his daughter Carolyn (George), son Wayne (Judi), seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, sisters-in-law Elaine and Hana, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday January 7th at Stoddard Funeral Home.
