Jackie,
Everyone has different memories of growing up that were shaped by little events, whose significance went unnoticed at the time.
Like Bob, two things in my life that have made me extremely happy and satisfied are fishing and camping.  Because of that, I couldnâ???Tt help thinking about a trip I took with Bob shortly after we got our driverâ???Ts licenses.  Four of us went to the Boundary Waters in northern Minnesota for one of those trips that will stay etched in my mind forever.
I never would have had an opportunity to experience something so wonderful if Bob had not asked me to join him.  There have been times in my life when I have sat in a wilderness area with tears of joy in my eyes as I gazed out at nature.  My trip with Bob was my first experience into a world I would learn to cherish.
Now, as you, I sit with tears of sorrow and only happy memories to console me.
I leave you with a mental hug and hope I have shared a brief and happy moment with you to help ease the pain.

I just wanted you to know that you have been in our prayers since everything has been happening.  Our kids (Tanner and Teagan) pray for you each night.  We feel for you and think of you every day. Some of the best memories of my life were fishing trips with my friends Bob and Julie, sometime in the mid 80's. There was his canoe.....of course I always had to sit in the middle on the cooler being the shortest.....Steamboat Springs, brookie breakfasts, his never-ending patience at our vain attempts to be ""fly fishermen"" like him. Our trips took us through incredible mountain landscapes and I have to say that I don't think I've since been able to jump out of bed at 4 a.m. to go ""do something"" since.  Thank you Bob for these special memories I know will never be replicated but are so much a part of my life and my history.

Jackie, Sara, Daniel and Barb, I am so very sorry to hear of Bobâ???Ts passing.  He was the kindest person that I ever knew, and I was proud to call him my friend.  I met Bob in 1977 and instantly liked him and realized how special he was.  As time went on I got to meet many of his friends and observed a common thread.  Everyone who knew Bob loved to be around him as much as I did.  People would gravitate to him at parties.  He made people feel comfortable with his kindness, patience, generosity, humility and love of life.  He was a wonderful conversationalist with great knowledge on many topics, especially history and sports of all kinds.  I will miss Bob greatly.  He was a person I could trust with a secret.  He was a person from whom I sought advice, and he was a person who would always be there to help a friend in time of emergencyâ??¦ Most of all I will miss talking with Bob.  With deep sympathy, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Bob always laughed at us when we ate the trout we caught.  He always threw his back.  We have many good memories of the North Platte and will treasure spending New Year's Eve with Bob, you and family.  We will miss him.

I grew up next door to Bob and his family. We played a great deal of football and baseball together. Bob was always quarterback, drawing plays on his hand with his finger. Like his dad, he always put his feet up on the couch and talked passionately to the tv during games. We had so many good times and I am so grateful for his visit with Jackie this past fall. After all these years it was easy to see why Bob was still loved so much by both friends and family during his life. You were loved by many, you will be missed by many also. May God bless you and hold a special place in his house for you.

Growing up in Milwaukee across the street from Bob was a time filled with fun and lots of sports. We had so much fun playing all the different sports all year long. These are memories that I still cherish today. Bob was a tremendous athlete and was one of the most caring people I've ever known. He was always ready to encourage others with a kind word. All the time I spent hanging out at the Barrow house on Fillmore Dr. in Milwaukee with Bob and Bill continues to be a fond memory in my life. I know that God has a very special place for Bob.  My thoughts and prayers are with all of the Barrow family. I hope and pray that you will find comfort in this time of sorrow. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.
