

Charles L. Montez, 67, passed away on September 5th, 2017 surrounded by family. Born in Greeley, Colorado to Connie Perez (Jaramillo), the oldest of four children. He proudly served in the Vietnam War from 1968 – 1971, in the U.S. Army as an Armorer Unit Specialist. He graduated Aims Community College in Greeley, Colorado in 1980 with an Associates in Graphic Technology. He was a devoted and loving husband to Charlene and father to Charolette, Chelsi, Cheleste, and Monestario. He had seven grandchildren he loved dearly. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Always ready with a joke and that contagious laugh, which was loved by many. He loved music, to play his guitar and sing. An easy going spirit who loved Colorado sports.
Charles is survived by his wife Charlene; a sister Elizabeth Oliva; daughters Charolette (Matthew) Cotier; Chelsi (Nicholas) Joyce; Cheleste Montez; the only son Monestario Montez; and a loving extended family.
Preceded in death by his mother Connie Jaramillo; two brothers Joe and Jesse Montez; and niece Maria Hernandez.
There is a celebration of life at Allnutt Funeral Home in Loveland, Colorado on September 15th, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. It will include a rosary and a service with Military Honors.
