Remembering our beloved  friend during our 2025 class reunion tonight.

Very sorry to hear of Cheryl's death. Karen and I send our best wishes and condolences to Linda and her family.

Although we are many miles apart, our lives and hearts have been forever touched by the same loss of a child.  Tonight, as I once again came to look at our son Jay's memorial site, I saw your daughter's name and for some reason I clicked on her name and read her guestbook.  It seems that your daughter was so much like our son - full of life, and love and anticipation for new days and new adventures.  It will be two years on Aug. 07th since our lives changed in a moment of time.  I just wanted you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.  Tho the days are difficult, we choose to choose life as Jay would want us to.  God has been faithful to give us strength for each new day; peace in knowing that we will see Jay again; and warm memories to ease our pain.  I pray these things for you all as well.

I will always remember Cheryl's sense of humor and ""tell it like it is"" approach to communication.  However, there is something else that I will always admire the most - her caring and compassionate character.  She recently demonstrated this while taking care of grandpa and grandma during their last year-or-so alive.  The late night/early morning calls, doctor's appointments, and tedious tasks must have been hard on her, but I never heard her complain.  I was truly impressed how mature she was during that time; she sure taught her older cousin a few lessons about life.  
We will miss you, Cheryl.  You made the world a little sunnier.

I worked with Cheryl when she was employed at Garden Square of Greeley Assisted Living Facility when I was the Activity Director there for a few years somewhere around 1997-1999 time span. I was so saddened when I read in the paper of Cheryl's accident.  I always thought she was a such a special person and what I remember most was her caring heart/attitude, her willingness to do whatever it took to get the job done; she was a true team player. I remember how she always made things special for the seniors, she was a great cook, she was gifted in math and when I worked with her, I think she was still getting her bachelors so when I read she was getting her doctorate, it made me once again realize what a gifted talented person she truly was and I have thought of the family and how difficult I am sure her loss is to you all and the many others who was touched by knowing her. I wish I could take the pain away. You have been in my thoughts and prayers.

Yoo Hoo, Cheryl......
I keep waiting to hear the beep of my phone and the sound of your voice answering   ""Yoo hoo, Miss Gretchen"".   I can't believe you're gone. This has got to be a mistake. ( BIG mistake, huge.  I have to go shopping now.) I really don't know quite how we will manage without you.  As I sit here looking around, I see so many things that are reminders of you. The many Vans stickers from all the shoes you ordered Garrett, Tinkertoys, Lauren's red crocs, a box of mac & cheese.  You touched our lives in so many ways.  I just wish I had told you how much I apprediate eveything you did more often.  
My heart aches when I think of what Garrett and Lauren will miss with you not here.  You truly added to their lives and ours as well.  We will keep Auntie Cheryl with us by being more silly, more spontaneous, saying yes more than no, laughing, coloring, singing and living out loud.  You are our sunshine.   Love and miss you.

Thank you all for your special thoughts and memories of Cheryl.  Though we are a very close family, hearing the stories and reading your thoughts have given us a more complete picture of  how she touched so many lives.  It is nice to hear from so many of you.  Cheryl was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to us.  The name of her game was fun, and she was the MVP.  If there ever were a math nerd that wasn't, Cheryl was it.  I was proud to be her big brother, and she will always be our sunshine and little princess.        Cheryl,  Alan and I polished off the last batch of chocolate-chip cookies you made.  They were tasty as usual.

My prayers and thoughts go out to the family. Cheryl always had a smile and could brighten any room as she entered. She will be truely missed!!

I will never forgot at our 10 year class reunion how you had all of us in stitches from your wise cracks. You were a one of a kind person. The class of '95 will live on but you will never be forgotten.

I never knew Cheryl as the wonderful adult she turned out to be, but as the little girl following her brothers and me around as kids. Even at that age she had that spark and smile that was contagious, you just couldn't be around her without smiling. My heart goes out to all the family who have lost such a wonderful person.

Fagerberg family, my parents (Gary and Pam) and my sister Kendall and I just wanted to say that we are SO sorry for Cheryl's accident.  We have lots of fond memories from our crazy neighborhood growing up and Cheryl was always such a trip.  We know your family has had such a hard time the past few years and we are just heartbroken for you all.  We are definitely praying for you and hope that God can bring comfort where none of us can.

I was friends with Cheryl when we younger I remember the first time that I ever met her, her birthday was the day after mine and she told me that we were destined to be friends. I remember countless summers that we hung out together and all the fun that we had. My family and I will miss her dearly.

I've only known Cheryl for one summer but I had a great time getting to know her. She was always a cheerful person and she always had a smile on her face everyday. I'm  gonna miss Cheryl so much. She was a great person to hang around with up in Upward Bound and I'm glad I had the opportunity to meet and learn about Cheryl before her passing. I will never forget Cheryl because all the wonderful things she has taught all the Upward Bound students. There
will always be a place in my heart where Cheryl will be and I love her with all my heart.

Cheryl was such a unique and special person, I only got to get to know her for 2 months but i think that is more than enough to truly know how great of a person she was. We will miss her and my sympathy goes out to the family of this great person Cheryl.

I will miss Cheryl. She was someone who brought a ray of sunshine with her when she walked into a room.

I have worked w/ Cheryl many years. She always came to work w/ a smile on her face and loved to share stories about her family and friends. I will always remember her and her beautiful curly hair! Every summer, she wanted to help as much as she can for the COSMOS program. We enjoyed having her laughter!

I met Cheryl during COSMOS a couple of years ago. At the time she was teaching in a biology class. She made the class more interesting and fun with her out-going personality. She will be missed a lot.

I cannot express myself well enough to tell you how sorry I am for your family, and how very much Cheryl meant to me. 
I have so many memories of Cheryl with Angie through the middle school and high school years. I still remember the water fight at my house and Cheryl was losing?.so she ran to the backyard and brought the hose in. Right into the living room threatening to turn the hand sprayer to on. I think she had lived with brothers for so long, she defiantly knew how to get the upper hand in a fun and playful water fight.
I hadn?'t seen Cheryl for several years, until one day in the hallway of McKee I heard my name being called and there she was. It was like a wonderful blast from the past had come to me again, and I got to visit with her over the next several years about her and Angie?'s high school adventures. I got caught up on her life, and enjoyed spending time with her. 
Heaven must be quite a lively place with both Cheryl and Angie there. For some reason there is comfort in thinking of those 2 together again.
Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this very difficult time. Your family has been through so much, and I pray that you will soon find peace.

I am shocked and tremendously saddened by the loss of our colleague and friend, Cheryl.  She was very kind to me when I was a new grad student just trying to survive statistics courses.  She will be sorely missed.  
Is it not wonderful that families are forever.  Cheryl has just gone ahead to wait a while to be reunited with those she loved.

I had the privilege of meeting Cheryl at UNC and through a friend's wedding.  She was a delightful person who always had a beautiful smile.  Her smile revealed the sincerity of her heart .  My prayers are with all of the family and friends who loved her.

I went to school with Cheryl for many years. I was not the ""coolest"" kid in the world, but it seemed like she made an effort to be especially kind. Back in middle school, she even was my ""secret big sister."" I was deeply saddened to hear about the accident. She was an extremely kind-hearted person and the world has lost a true friend.

My heart is just sick for all of you about the death of Cheryl.  It was an honor to have known her. In the last 24 hours so many lovely memories come to mind about her and the time we shared together.
I know that it is a cliché, but she did light up a room with her presence.  She was so bubbly, kind and caring, that she made people feel welcome.  I know that we shared lots of laughs and giggles when she was around.  (Sometimes she would poke fun at herself, and I know I teased her a lot.)  She was delightful and had a wonderful sense of humor.  
She also had a very good soul.  By this I mean that she was loving and kind, and I know that she loved her family was very much.  She let kindness and goodness guide her life?-and that is a remarkable thing for someone of her age.
She was an amazing person caring for her grandmother and others at the nursing home.  It takes a very special person to do that?-and do that for the amount of time that Cheryl did.
She treated Sydni like a sister, and I know Sydni will miss here.  And my feelings for her were that of family?-she just fit in anywhere she went.  
Linda, my prayers are with you and your family.  No one deserves this ?.least of all, all of you.  I know the last several years have not been easy.  My heart is sick, and I will pray that at some time in the future, you will know some peace.

I did not know Cheryl personally, but learned much about her through her uncle, Bob Yost. Cheryl must have been a wonderful girl and a real joy to her family and friends. My deepest sympathy goes out to her family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers, and my heart is with you at this very difficult time.
