Christina ‘Chris’ Ruth Nance, 63, stepped into the afterlife Sunday January 10, 2021. She was born in Denver. Her parents are Joan and (a very patient) Harlan Smith.
Chris may have been a handful as a teenager. She married young and though he proved not to be her soul mate they did have a daughter, Dani.
Chris loved sci-fi, making beautiful crafts and she had magic when she was in the kitchen. She loved dogs and found late in her life that she was a cat person too. The love of her life though, was her grandson. From the day he was born she was hooked.
She spent most of her working life in the service of King Soopers. She held many positions with the company. She worked in their parts department for many years running parts to mechanics at the stores. While she worked in the stores she worked in the deli, in the bakery as a cake decorator, and as a cashier. Many will remember her smile and her laugh.
Those of us left here to carry her torch and cherish her memory are her parents Harlan and Joan, her brother James Hagan, her daughter Danielle Steele, and her grandson Liam Steele.
