Clara Stanley

Clara was raised in Johnstown and graduated from Johnstown High School in 1952. She married Samuel S. Stanley who died in 1972. Clara worked at Johnson’s Corner for many years.

Clara was a caring, strong willed woman. Never having children of her own, she enjoyed time with family; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Clara had a great sense of humor and always had an upbeat attitude. She had a beautiful voice and sang at several events.

In her later years, Clara enjoyed the Senior Center and Senior Activities in Johnstown. Clara had a great love for the Lord.

She is survived by sister, Nina Arment of Greeley; two sister-in-laws, Diana Cook of Loveland and Sylvia Cook of Greeley; five nieces, Karen (Terry) Simer of Greeley, Nancy (John) Masters of Johnstown, Heather (Ryan) Ross of Carr, Amity (Mark) Engelhardt of Loveland, Sheryl LaRue of Albuquerque, New Mexico; two nephews, Ron (Diane) Cook of Lakewood, Steven (Elizabeth) Cook of Gig Harbor Washington; Numerous great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers, Verland Cook and Allen Cook.

Graveside service 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
