Hadn't seen my cousin Craig in several years but he was always a warm and personable, friendly force of nature. Sympathies to his family and friends and brother Kent.

One of the songs sang by Joe Boshinski at Craig's service was Dylan's ""Knockin' on Heaven's Door'. Joe added one more verse. ""My time has come you see; No more turtles and no more tease. Going to kick back and take it slow, might learn to play some rock n roll. I'll catch you somewhere up ahead, Craig Corkran, no more can be said.

Conclusion to Craig's eulogy:

Years ago Craig had a tombstone made for himself. That, in itself, may sound strange. But if you know Craig, it really shouldn’t. The headstone read:
		CRAIG CORKRAN
No More Could be Said
That sounds about right!

Growing up around Craig was a constant adventure, knowing he was your relative put you in a special position. We were together whenever a visit to Greeley occurred, which was every weekend. If the tree needed climbing, leaves jumped into, bikes ridden, snowballs thrown or a hole dug it included Craig. Max and Boris (turtles) came to our houses after a walk to the Woolworths and Alflie, Falfie and Raphie were found following the great bicycle ride to Keota. I suppose being family brought out the Craig that few knew, a true attachment from Craig, support for anyone who needed anything even when he was in need himself. We were actually making plans for more family history, although I hope he is in touch with some family now. Our thoughts go out to Kent and all who were in his vast circle of those he new as friends.

 He was funny and kind and many laughs were shared in class and out.
 I always enjoyed running into Craig throughout the years.

Craig's partial eulogy
I want to first thank all of you for joining me today in celebrating the life of Craig Corkran. Your presence would mean so much to Craig and I know his brother, sister-in-law, and the rest of his family also appreciate it. I also want to thank Kent for allowing me to share some thoughts that I have of my good friend. To say the least, I certainly consider it an honor and privilege. I have to add that knowing Craig’s sense of humor, I am a little leery of what Craig would do with my title of eulogist; white coat and rubber gloves do come into mind, though. 
I just can’t get pass an expectation that Craig will soon be coming through those doors and asking everyone, “Are you a turtle?” and  singing “Happy Birthday to me, happy birthday to me, happy birthday dear Craig, happy birthday to me.” Hopefully you understand when I say it somehow feels appropriate that we are having this celebration of his life on his birthday. It just should be twenty years, or so, down the road that we are actually doing this.
We have all heard that life is but a journey. Well, Craig didn’t just take a journey. He was on an epic crusade, one that was not made for the meek or the mild.  Anytime you were with Craig, you knew that there was a good chance for surprise and adventure. Those experiences may range from your discovery that he had wrapped a rubber band around the sprayer of your kitchen sink as you turned on the faucet, or find yourself hitchhiking back to Greeley from Denver at 2 in the morning after a Grateful Dead concert. 
	I have known Craig for almost five decades.  That means, if nothing else, that our past is rich and full. I can personally trace specific traits or characteristics of my own self back to Craig. The enjoyment I have of listening to Cream, Eric Clapton, Moody Blues, and Jethro Tull. The laughs I still get listening to Laurel and Hardy’s “Who’s on First”. The excitement and exhilaration I’ve experienced driving a four-wheel trail. It is a fact that I am a turtle. All of these, and many more, stem directly back to Craig Corkran. 
 Admittedly Craig tended to follow the advice of Yogi Berra. When Craig came to the fork in the road, he took it. At times, I was not sure if Craig wasn’t some character from a Charles Dickens’ novel or a Bill Murray movie.  We often hear the phrase, “You need to look outside the box.” Quite honestly, there were moments where I did not think Craig knew a box even existed. No doubt he did model how our own frailties can leave us the most vulnerable to temptations, where our side shows become the main event.
	But, he was much more than that. He was a loving and supportive son and brother.  He was compassionate. He was caring. He was definitely funny. He was the only optician that grandparents trusted in the correct fitting of not only their own glasses, but glasses for their grandchildren, as well. He was a man who found immense pleasure skiing the Alps of Italy. He was honored and recognized for his humanitarian work in the community. He treasured the opportunities of summiting fourteeners.  He was a virtual encyclopedia on the history of Greeley and Colorado. He absolutely loved rock-n-roll. He was a walking, talking topographical map of the Rocky Mountains. Nothing pleased him more than bivouacking above timberline on a backpacking trip, catching cutthroats from an alpine stream with his bare hands. He was a good friend. And he would love this…….being here with his friends and family in celebration.
	The next time you have the opportunity to gaze out upon the panoramic view of our Rockies, do not be surprised if you can feel a sense of Craig flirting with Long’s Peak or Mount Evans, or of him climbing a lookout tower in a national forest as he is listening to Stairway to Heaven. Allow for yourself to smile as you remember our friend Craig, to feel a sense of warmth and satisfaction of having him as a brother and a friend, to know that things are going to be okay.

Rest in Peace, my old friend. You were taken way too soon, but hopefully you are up there now sipping a cold one with Jeff, Marty, Craig, and Ron. God bless.

OMG. We have been remembering all the great times we have been lucky to share with Craig over the last 37 years (for me) and over 40 (for Willie). Our wedding reception was at his house on 13th street 35 years ago. Tickets to concerts, basket ball games...he was always willing to give, without expecting anything in return. What an expert Optician he became.. We both will always miss him as he was a great friend, a friend who's life was way to short. Our sympathy goes out to Craig's family. It was a shock to us.

Willie wants to add: I took Craig to the hospital on the 23rd. Craig picked up his car on the 25th.We also had gone out to lunch the week before. I will always treasure those last days I spent with him. Just wish there would be more. My sympathy to the family.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all Craig's family. We are so sorry for your loss. Craig was a great guy and friend. There wasn't anyone that could adjust you glasses like he could! So sad that you had to leave so soon.

When we were still in school, my older brother let me drive his 58 corvette to school one day. Why I'm not sure! Unfortunately on the way home I had a little problem driving and I ended up in a ditch. Thank goodness I was able to get ahold of Craig and he was kind enough to bring his old Jeep and get the Corvette an I out of the ditch. I was always very thankful that Craig was able to help me because I surly didn't have the money for a wrecker at that time. He often asked me if I remembered that day.  You will be missed Buddy!
