Thank you, Kiyota family, for letting us know about Daisy's passing.  She was always so vibrant that it took us some time to accept the fact that she is gone.  In fact, when we placed a call after receiving her annual holiday greeting, she was still very positive and hopeful about her life.  
Still fresh in our minds are the days we first met Daisy and John and the wonderful Kiyota family in Northern Colorado while we were at Simpson United Methodist Church in Arvada.  Daisy's most genuine and caring spirit helped us feel like we were among friends.  
Because of our line of work as pastors, we have met thousands of people; but John and Daisy are among those who have made a strong, lasting impression.
We hold all of you in our prayers in this tender time.

My dear friend Susan and family.....as I'm writing through tears, I wanted you to know how sorry I am to hear about the loss of your Mom. I have so many wonderful memories of your Mom. She was always a gracious and thoughtful woman.  I will always remember the Mother's Day trips to the greenhouse with my family (along with my Grandma Nelson)...and the beautiful flowers we would bring home....your Mom would always let me have a Geranium of my choice!  Sleepovers were also extra special with your Mom and Dad.....I always felt at home.  Together we have shared many wonderful times that are priceless to me!  Please know, that after years of living miles apart, I will always count you as my best friend.  As you and your family grieve the passing of your Mom, know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.  I know you take comfort in knowing that your Mom and Dad are together in Heaven celebrating with their Lord and Savior! Love to you always, Melinda
