Dear Walker Family, I just got the latest Walker Talk and saw Daniels rememberance on the back cover. We are a world away and yet so close... my beloved eldest son Evan was born just 4 days before your Daniel and as I read the many tributes to your son I see they share so many beautiful character attributes.. as I contemplate how I would feel if I lost my own son I can only begin to feel a millionth of the huge sense of loss you must all feel, but just pray that God will be your peace, may He wrap you in His loving arms and hold you as you grieve. Just as you conduct yourselves so honourably in your manufacturing business, you appear also to have done such a wonderful job of raising Daniel to be a great young man of God and to have the surety of knowing he is with The Lord is hopefully some comfort. What a shock and a sense of emptiness when I read Dan's obituary.  He truly was a model of a fine young Christian man.  He and Brooklin were both in my Ceramics class this last Spring semester. We had several conversations about how Dan could use what he learned as it applied to his life and future work.

Dan is a model of what a Christian should be.  As one of Dan's coaches I had the opportunity to see him live his life on an almost daily basis.  He lived a life that was consistent and one that was a model of how Christ would want us to live our lives.  From a selfish point-of-view I would like to have Dan back, but I know that he is in a far better place.  The only thing that has helped me to cope with the grief that I feel about this situation is the fact that I know that Dan must have been so excited when he woke up in heaven.  
I can tell by all the comments listed here that Dan's life touched so many others.  I can only hope that I can begin to do the same with my life.  God took home one of his best workers, I can only hope that I can help fill the void that was left by Dan's passing.  
Mr. and Mrs. Walker you did well in raising your family.  Ted, Ryan and Kyle, all the things I have said about your brother are true of you too.  I know that it is hard for all of you right now, but know that Dan would want you all to live your lives for God and to keep each other close.  I love you guys and I am here for you for whatever you may need.  Thanks for sharing Dan with me.

One of the best things about Dan Walker was that he was a true brother.  A brother not just to his biological siblings but to so many people who knew him.  His faithfulness to the likes of cousins, other family members, roommates, friends and even a few of the â???oold guysâ?? at the shop made him a unique standard in todayâ???Ts world of shallow relationships.  
Dan was also a brother in Christ.  His testimony was that of action more than words and was an encouragement to all he came in contact with.  
Dan was steady and reliable.  He delivered quality in everything he did without fanfare and with what appeared to be minimal effort.  His calm demeanor, dry sense of humor, trademark smile and welcoming eyes were a joy and solace in any situation.

His laughter will carry on in our hearts.  Dan impacted countless lives, and he will be greatly missed.  I was privileged to know him.  All our love and prayers during this time.

We can't begin to tell you how sorry we are.  This is such a tremendous loss for our entire family and for everyone who knew Dan.  He was the most amazing person.  He truly lived a life worth celebrating.  He lived life to the fullest and made the most of every moment that he had been given.  He gave of himself to others and because of this, many little campers, friends, and family members will be in Heaven with Dan someday because of the example that he showed and the life that he lived. Our prayers and thoughts are with you. We love all of you!

I'm sad to hear about Dan, but know he is in a great place with God.  May he always be remembered.  I know I will remember him from our years at Timnath. RIP Dan!
