He married Leona Robinson in Yuma, CO.
Delbert lived in Greeley and Fort Lupton. He attended school in Joes, CO. He worked as a mechanic for Miller Brothers and Amato Wholesale Florist.
Delbert was a member of First Christian church in Greeley and was a Free Mason. He enjoyed reading, carpentry (he has built many birdhouses), home projects and farming- primarily wheat.
He is survived by his granddaughters, Heather (Cody) Weickum, Katy (Tim) Strasser, and Molly (Ray) Bredehoft; as well as five great-grandchildren.
He preceded in death by his wife Leona Stevens; his parents; his daughters Virginia Lea Cross and Teresa Lou Brown; and brothers Gaylord and Tot Stevens.
Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at the Allnutt Macy Chapel.
