Delphinia True, 79, of Greeley, Colorado, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Life Care Center of Greeley. She was born March 20, 1943 in Rocky Ford, CO to Pedro “Pete” and Aurelia “Mary” (Bernal) Flores. She was the third youngest of 12 children.
Delphinia married Patrick Henry True on August 20, 1960. He passed away April 21, 1981 at the age of 40.
Delphinia lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed watching the Denver Broncos, sitting around the table with family, sharing laughter and listening to stories about what was going on in everyone’s life. They always made her laugh and she looked forward to cooking for the family gatherings especially her tamales and red chili. Her greatest love was her family. Her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids were her pride and joy. She loved each and every one of them with all her heart.
Delphinia is survived by her four children Kip and Carrie True of Mitchell, NE, Russ and Deb True of Greeley, CO, Janelle and Hobie Hall of Littleton, CO, and Lindalin “Peach” and Justin Wolford of Arvada, CO; eight grandchildren Pat True of Greeley, CO, Matt and Ashley True of Omaha, NE, Jessie and Mike Ackelson of Eaton, CO, Cole and Kasi True of Gillette, WY, Brennen and Nikki True of Ault, CO, Chance Wolford of Arvada, CO, Chloe Wolford of Arvada, CO, and Brayden Hall of Littleton, CO; 11 great-grandchildren, Taylor Ackelson, Brynleigh Ackelson, Adley True, Josie True, Max True, Gannon True, Emily True, Evie True, Gracie True, Walker True, and Remy True; two sisters, and two brothers as well as many other relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed by all.
She is preceded in death by her husband Patrick, her parents, 2 sisters, and 5 brothers.
A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 14, 2022 at Allnutt Macy Chapel, 6521 W 20th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634. A private family inurnment will be held in Wray, Colorado.
