Dolores “Dee” Wilson of Wellington, Colorado passed away peacefully June 20, 2014 at her daughter’s home. Dee was born in Pontiac, Michigan and lived in Michigan until 1971. While living there, she graduated from Patricia Steven’s Modeling School. She then went on to receive her degree in Interior Design and worked in that field for 25 years. She married her husband, Harold, in 1950. They moved to Colorado with the rest of the family in 1976 where she took a position with J C Penny as a sales associate in the custom design drapery area. When Dee and Harold retired they moved to the Fort Collins, Colorado area.
Dee was very creative, even designing the home they built. She loved to paint and draw. Garage sale hopping was her second love, but she loved her family most of all.
She has left behind two daughters, Terrie Wilson-Ramirez (Mark) and Cindee Bender; five grandchildren; Dena aka: Lory (Thom), Shelly (Steve), Candice (Corey), Mason (Kelly), and Casey; her sister-in-law, Audrey; eight great-grandchildren, Cody, Henry, Christian, Nathan, Grace, Jack, Alex and Tyson.
Dee was preceded in death her parents; her husband of 61 years, Harold; her brother Jack; and her grandson Shane.
The family would like to express sincere thanks and gratitude to Pathways Hospice for all their support. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Dee’s name to Pathways Hospice.
