Donald Edward Loloff

Donald Edward Loloff, 59, of Kersey, CO passed away December 9, 2018 at NCMC. Don was born to Edward C. and D. Jean Loloff in Greeley, CO on December 19, 1958. He was raised in Kersey, and graduated from Platte Valley High School in 1977. He studied engineering at Colorado State University for two years. Don married Melinda Hamilton in Kersey on May 16, 1987.

He formed Don Loloff Construction Inc. pile driving on bridges and buildings in 1980. Later he stopped pile driving and went into partnership with his dad at Loloff Construction Inc. They also owned a gravel pit in Greeley for approximately 30 years. He became president of Loloff Farms Inc. 2004. Don dissolved the construction company and started managing the parts for Reinke Irrigation Company in 2005. After he left Reinke in 2010, he started to do what he enjoyed most, helping others, rebuilding pickups, cars, for himself and his friends. Over the years Don enjoyed water skiing at Empire Reservoir, working on cars for the demolition derby, and coffee in the morning with his friends at the local coffee shop. He loved to spend evenings by the fire pit watching the sunsets with his wife and the family pets.

Don loved to rebuild small cranes, and we travel to Hawaii several times. Hawaii was a very special place to Don. He was the Vice President of Loloff lateral ditch company for many years.

Don loved his Lord Jesus Christ and he and Melinda were saved and baptized in the church. It was very important to him that his friends and family were also saved in Christ.

Don is survived by his wife, Melinda Hamilton Loloff of Kersey; sisters, Judy (Richard) Tumlinson of Centennial and Debra Loloff of Estes Park; niece, Joy (Nathan) Ferguson of Wiesbaden, Germany; nephew, Jeffrey (Amanda) Patrick of Richmond, Michigan; Grandnieces, Olivia and Gwynevere Patrick; and great-nephew, Bennett Ferguson; sister-in-law, Marlo Hamilton of Greeley, brother-in-law, Mark Hamilton of Greeley; brother-in-law, Mel Allen (Kelli) Hamilton of Canton, Iowa; nephews, Cole (Kristi) Hamilton of Clinton, Iowa; great-niece, Chloe Hamilton; nephew, Ryan Hamilton of Lowden, Iowa; great-niece, Bella Hamilton and Seth Hamilton of Coralville, Iowa; niece Paige (Jed) Holland of Manmouth, Iowa; great-nephew, Nolan Hamilton.

Our very dear secretary Elsie Dalton who has worked for the family for over fifty years; and several special friends and neighbors.

He is preceded in death by his Father, Edward C., in 2000 and his Mother, D. Jean in 2011.

Celebration of Life will be Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kersey Community Church
