Donna Lee Jordan

Donna Jordan, 87, of Greeley died April 19, 2020 at Bonell Community nursing home. She was born to Lee & Nora Shaffer in Dodge City, Ks. She attended Catholic school in Hutchinson, Ks., until 8th grade when her family moved to Delphos, Ks.

She worked several jobs while in school & after graduating she attended Brown-Mackey business college in Salina, Ks. She married Delmar Gardner in 1953 & they have four children: Delona Ault, Shelby Row, Alexis Gardner & Guy Gardner. They both worked at Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, Ks., & farmed in the Aurora, Ks., community until they moved to Greeley in 1960.

Donna did daycare in the home for 35 years. She loved to listen to music & could dance up a storm. She attended & was one of the original members of St. Mary’s Catholic church.

Delmar passed away in Hospice in 1997. In 2002 Donna married David Jordan in Greeley.

Donna is survived by husband, David Jordan; daughters, Delona Ault, Shelby Row, and Alexis Gardner; son, Guy Gardner; sisters, Laura Rowley and Denise Morganthaler; and brother, Don Shaffer. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her former husband and father of her children, Delmar Gardner as well as parents, Lee and Nora Shaffer.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial gifts made be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc. in care of Stoddard Funeral Home.
