

Doris Luella Forster, 96, passed away March 6, 2017 in Fort Collins, Colorado. Doris was born October 14, 1920 to Glenn and Velma Rose Woodworth in Dodgeville, Ohio. She graduated from high school in New Lyme, Ohio. In 1941, she graduated from Ashtabula General Hospital School of Nursing. On August 22, 1942, she married her life long companion Howard Forster in Little Rock Arkansas. In 1947, the Forster’s moved to Colorado and raised their two children, Lorrie, Bruce and grandson, Brian.
Doris was a nurse her entire working life. In 1974, she went back to school and graduated from BYU Health College as a Nurse Practitioner. She retired from nursing in 1981, after 17 years at the CSU Student Health Center.
Doris and Howard had a wonderful retirement, traveling, golfing, swimming, and living in Montrose, CO. and Florance, AZ. They moved back to Fort Collins in 1999. Doris spent her last years in the loving care of the wonderful people at Good Samaritan Society in Fort Collins. She loved to sing and spend time with family and friends.
Doris is survived by her sister, Vivian Barrett of Williamsfield, OH. and her son Bruce Forster of Loveland, CO.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at The Good
Samaritan Society, 508 W. Trilby Road, Fort Collins, Colorado. Memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels, 437 Garfield Ave., Loveland, CO 80537.
