Dorothy Irene Gregory was born July 9, 1916 in Twin Creek, Kansas. She was one of twelve children born to William David and Icy Maude Greig. She married Kenneth Gregory in Beloit, KS on November 21, 1938. She said one of her happiest moments was when she heard the war was over, because Kenneth and other loved ones would be coming home. Her oldest daughter was born in 1947 and her youngest in 1952. They lived in Holdrege, Nebraska for eight years moving to Colorado in 1967. During their time in Holdrege, she was active in the First Assembly of God Church. She was a wonderful cook and devoted mother who enjoyed gardening, fishing and all the children in her life.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Clinesmith and Diana Beck of Greeley, CO; her son-in-law, Steve Beck of Greeley, CO; sisters, Ida Niles and Stella Woodcock of Downs, KS; brother and his wife, Charles and Edith Greig of Emporia, KS; sister-in-law, Arlene Ethreidge of Derby, KS; grandsons and their wives, Mark and Lee Clinesmith and Travis and Holly Beck; granddaughter, Tiffany Beck, eight great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; her parents, eight brothers and sisters and her son-in-law, Larry Clinesmith.
Visitation 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Clark-Gashaw Mortuary 238 N. 1st St., Osborne, KS. Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Friday at Clark-Gashaw Mortuary. Interment at Mt. Ayre Cemetery, Alton, KS.
