On New Year's Eve, at the request of my father, Wayne Zwickey, I looked for contact information on Elise's mother. Instead, to my shock and sorrow, I found Elise's obituary. Words cannot begin to express how sorry I am to hear of her passing. Our parents were friends, as were Elise and I during our last years in high school and while we worked at the Pioneer Inn together. So many wonderful memories. We are so saddened to lose Elise to soon.  I have such fond memories of raising our sons together, through elementary years at Werner, and onto Preston Middle School.  Sitting at baseball games discussing our kids antics while David coached and watching our kids growing into young men together.  Hosting sleepovers at her house for the kids and feeding them endless amounts of food. (never complaining about how much my child would eat.)  We could pick up right where we left off when I would see her at the grocery store, or school activity, or health club.  

Elise was dedicated to her family and went to great effort to maintain structure and certainty for her children even choosing to relocate their home to stay in the school district. Then serving as a volunteer in so many capacities as a volunteer coordinator, home room parent, and many more. 

I will miss seeing Elise at Miramont and commiserating over how hard the pushups were to get through. Her intelligence, kindness and generosity are great attributes that she shared with all who knew her.  I believe those attributes will live on, as will the memories she created with all who knew.  Our thoughts and deep condolences are with the Branson family during this time.

Elise truly was the definition of an extraordinary parent and selfless human being. She became part of the Werner family, always volunteering and helping out where ever needed. As the Werner counselor, she made my job so much easier, always a shinning example of what a parent should be.

Dear Branson Family,
I have so many fond memories of Elise.  I really enjoyed getting to know her over the years while our children were at Werner. Our paths did not cross as much as they  used to, but this last Fossil football season, Derek and I arrived at a game and Elise saw me and waived me over so that they could buy our tickets for us because the line was so long!  I will miss bumping into you around town, seeing your warm smile.  You will always be remembered by me as a kind, beautiful, sweet friend.  We wish your family peace.

Elise is an incredibly kind and generous soul. We were happy to stand outside countless King Soopers stores with her as she supervised Scout popcorn sales. Her sense of humor always made it so much more fun. And those early soccer games - watching those adorable little guys trying to kick the ball toward the correct goal! Elise was the real deal - an authentic, genuine and loyal friend, whose devotion to her family was unmissable. I first had the pleasure of meeting Elise many years ago when the boys played soccer together. . . when everyone else was avoiding eye contact (including myself) as Nick looked for a volunteer ref, she was always the first to step in to fill the need. . . always. She was a special lady indeed, and I am so very very sorry for your loss.

Elise left her mark on our community through the giving of her time.  She was the energizer bunny when it came to making things happen.  I have many fond memories of her through volunteering at Werner, Cub Scouts and baseball.  She loved her boys, all three of them, and would do anything for them.  It hasn't always been easy, but she held such grace through everything.  My heart breaks for her family during this difficult time.  My thoughts and prayers are with you all.  May God's peace and comfort surround you.

So saddened to hear of Elise's passing. She was right beside me as we hiked Horsetooth Rock together (my first time!) and got to know one another. She was a wonderful person and will truly be missed by MANY:heart:

Elise was a lovely person. I, too, remember her fondly from Cub Scouts - she and I took a group of boys to a summer camp spread over a series of days. I saw Elise recently and we talked of ""old times"" - never did she let on that she was ill. She was just as positive then as ever. I am deeply saddened to hear of her passing and send much love to her family. Elise touched many, many lives. She understood how to live.

We did not know Elise, but by her choice of husbands and the character of her children,she must have have been amazing.  We are so very sorry to hear of this loss and would like the entire family to know that they are in our thoughts and prayers.  Please know that our family is here if you are in need of anything.
