Ellorah Pearl Hunteman, 89, of Evans CO died June 17, 2021. She was born in Eckley, CO on November 1, 1931, to Ernest M. and Lena Anna Thomas. The family moved to Greeley in 1942 and to Kersey in 1946. Ellorah graduated from Kersey High School in 1949.
On June 4, 1949, Ellorah married Harvey L. Hunteman in Kersey, CO. Harvey enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1950. They were stationed in Spokane WA, Muskogee OK, San Antonio TX, Aurora CO, Duluth MN, Atwater CA, Camarillo CA, and Yreka CA. Twenty years later, they retired from the Air Force and returned to Kersey, CO. Ellorah worked at the Base Exchange and the Commissary on Military Bases, was Town Clerk for the Town of Kersey, and baby-sat the grandkids.
Ellorah and Harvey moved to Red Feather Lakes in 1984 where she served as Treasurer for the Red Feather Lakes Library Foundation, was a member of Mountain Gals, and was employed at Fox Acres Country Club.
Ellorah is survived by a son, David and wife Vicky of Pierce, CO; three daughters: Jodi and husband Michael Larson of Alpine AZ, Jeanne and husband Frank Marin of Ashland OR, and Thea Hora of Kersey CO. Also 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Her sister Fern Libsack of Evans CO; sister-in-law Nancy Thomas of Lakewood CO; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ellorah is preceded in death by her husband Harvey; her Dad and Mother; Brother Dale and wife Marietta; her brother Neal; and great grandson Joshua Michael Hora, Jr.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 28, 2021 at Linn Grove Cemetery. Reception to follow at Allnutt Funeral Service, Macy Chapel, 6521 W. 20th Street, Greeley, CO 80634.
