Emma “Amy” Torres, 56, of Eaton, passed away October 14, 2015 at Hospice of Northern Colorado. She was born January 8, 1959, the youngest of six girls, in Big Springs, Texas to Toby and Ramona Torres. Her family moved to Eaton Colorado in 1959. She graduated from Eaton High School. Emma met Jim Dalton in 1982.
Emma was a nanny for her nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Emma was loving and giving and the life of the party. She loved taking photos of family events, cooking, crocheting, scrapbooking and loved the holidays. She enjoyed listening to Country and Tejano Music. She was also a fan of the Chicago Bears.
Emma was survived by her husband Jim Dalton; sisters Janie and Lee Zamora, Lilly Torres, Maggie Vasquez, Mary and George Garcia; a brother Oscar and Cheryl Torres; nieces Carrie, Lindsay and Naomi; great and great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parent, two sisters Yolanda and Olivia and a brother Victor.
Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 19, 2015 followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 both at St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
