

Evelyn’s parents and grandparents were Germans from the Volga Region of Russia and instilled a strong work ethic and love of God and family in each of their children. Evelyn was a friend to all and being with family and friends was one of her greatest pleasures. Evelyn loved to dance the Dutch Hop and Lindy, play cards and decorate her home & garden.
This small town young woman and sister Leona were living in a one-room flat in Denver and working at a laundry when Evelyn met a handsome young soldier from Brooklyn New York, named Lawrence F. (Larry) Perry. When Larry was transferred, Evelyn left Colorado by bus to join Larry in Santa Ana, CA, with $50 in her purse. They were married in January 1944. Daughter Sheila was born in a military hospital a year later. After Larry’s discharge from the Army Air Force, the family moved to Brooklyn NY, where son Lawrence was born. In 1954, the family returned to Windsor and eventually settled in Loveland in 1960. Larry passed away on October 30, 1970.
Evelyn married Charles (Chuck) Fox, Jr. on November 19, 1971. Chuck passed away in 1990 after a lengthy illness.
Evelyn worked as a restaurant manager and hostess at several local restaurants and as a Walmart greeter until she retired at the age of 85. Evelyn always said that she enjoyed every job she had.
Evelyn is survived by brother Dale Becker (Barbara), of El Paso, TX, daughter Sheila Berg (Rex) and son Lawrence Perry (Carry) of Loveland, as well as grandchildren Steven Davis (Sonya), Jeff Davis (Mona), Lee Davis, Lauren Woolhether (Mickey), Adam Perry (Anne) and Kaitlyn Sebring (Nate), great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her beloved sisters and their spouses: Minnie Hoffman (Harold) , Esther Licht, Leona Bernhardt (Victor), Rosie Gronquist (Ivan), Betty Henry (John) and granddaughter Catherine Berg.
Memorial services will be held at Allnutt Funeral Service, 2100 North Lincoln Avenue, on Saturday, November 25 at 11 am with a reception following. Interment will be at Loveland Burial Park at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Evelyn’s memory may be made to Foothills Gateway, Pathways Hospice or an organization of your choice c/o Allnutt Funeral Service.
