

Evelyn Jean Hall, 76, of Greeley, passed away December 26, 2015 at Garden Square Assisted Living. She was born January 29, 1939 in Eldora, Hardin County, Iowa to Gerald and Veva Odessa (Jones) Cook. Evelyn grew up in Zearing, Iowa. She was baptized in the Mormon church and grew up in the EUB Methodist Church.
Evelyn met William C. Hall at a high school roller skating party. They were married at The Little Brown Church in the Veil, on July 26, 1956 near Nausha, Chicasaw County, Iowa. After marriage, they lived in Nevada, Iowa. She and her husband Bill owned rental homes for many years. They also wintered in Florida for seven years, and moved to Greeley in 2006.
Evelyn was a housewife, a very good cook and a wonderful piano player. She published three books on family genealogy.
Evelyn is survived by her husband William C “Bill” Hall; two daughters Denise Victoria Scofield of Parker and Mary Elizabeth (Michael Aaron) Davidson of Rock Springs, Wyoming; two brothers Allan Harold (Mary) Cook of Roland, Iowa and Ronald Lee (Lynmarie) Cook of Montpelier, Idaho; 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents, a daughter Sheryll Ann Hall; a son Charles William Hall and a son-in-law John Campbell Scofield Jr.
Graveside inurnment will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 8, at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
