We recently learned of Faith's passing.  I can't put into words the sadness I feel. Know that we have great memories of Faith when the kids were barn buddies just a few short years back!  Leandra pulled out a beautifully written thank you card from Faith for a simple birthday gift when Faith had turned 13 or 14 years old. Faith's humble, perceptive, and kind nature left lasting impressions.

I am so sorry for your loss!  The death of the young is the hardest to comprehend.  I just want to share a brief thought, from a source with much more comforting words than I could ever say.  Romans 15:4 says, "" For all the things that were written beforehand were written for our instruction, so that through our endurance and the comfort from the Scriptures we might have hope.""  I know there is not much comfort to be found at a time of such a tragedy, but I hope that this will at least bring you a measure of peace.

I was blessed to take Faith on a school tour of Paris, Florence and Rome in the summer of 2015. I will cherish the memory of that time spent with her for the rest of my life. As Faith stood gazing at Michelangelo's Pieta sculpture of Mary holding her dead son, Jesus in St. Peter's Basilica the tears streamed down her face. She got it! she was sensitive enough to understand what Michelangelo was trying to accomplish when he carved the Pieta out of marblle when he was only 24 years old. Watching Faith respond as she did was the highlight of the trip for me. Later when we were in the Sistine Chapel she was walking around in dazed silence as she gazed up at the painted ceiling again with tears streaming down her face. Faith was a ""special"" person that experienced a lot of life on a deeper level than most people.
Her short but rich life hopefully will inspire others to live beautifully as God created them to live not worrying about what others think about you.
I will miss Faith immensely and cherish the memories of her life as treasures in my life experience.

I'm so sorry for your loss.  I didn't know Faith but my youngest sister passed away at 17 and I know the intense emotions and void that you all are feeling.  Praying for your family and friends and thankful that Faith is with The Lord.  God bless you all.
