Felipe was raised in Greeley. He had a green thumb, enjoyed gambling in Blackhawk and Central City, attending auctions and spending time with his grandchildren.
Felipe is survived by his daughters, Margaret Meadows (Michael) and Kathy Rodriguez (Francisco); son, Phillip Hernandez (Steve Smith); sister, Francisca Hernandez; seven grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Susie Hernandez, three brothers, Fernando, Lupe and Emilio Hernandez, one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2019 followed by Memorial service at 12:00 p.m. both at Stoddard Funeral Home. Interment Eaton Cemetery.
