

Frances I. Harper, 99 of Greeley, passed away July 21, 2016 at Meadowview of Greeley. Frances was born November 6, 1916 in Fairfield, NE, to Harry J. and Nellie (Martin) Wales. She married Glenn E. Harper on June 1, 1938 in Greeley, CO. He died in 2003.
Frances, a long time resident of Greeley, graduated from Greeley High school in 1933 and went on to attend Colorado Teachers College (UNC). She was the bookkeeper for her family’s construction business. Before she married she would mow lawns so that she could take voice and dance lessons.
Frances was a member of First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing, painting, reading, piano and gardening.
She is survived by her son Donn (Denise) Harper; daughters Glenda (Norman) Bowles, and Bonnie (Ken) Miller; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren with two more (twins) on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Glenn Harper; sisters Ruth Clevenger, Pauline Lutes and Lois Middleton.
The Harper family would like the staff at Meadowview of Greeley to know how grateful and thankful they are for the wonderful care provided to Frances.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at the Allnutt Macy Chapel. Interment will be held at a later date at Linn Grove Cemetery.
