It's hard to put in to words how much I will miss my Grandpa.  The love and care he showed all of his grandkids, my dad and Aunt Karla and especially my beautiful Grandma, Merlyn, will stay with me for the rest of my life - and I will strive to instil and live by those same values as I start a family of my own.  I am proud to say I'm a Jones and I had him to teach me.
I love you, Grandpa, with all of my heart and, I know you were strong and fought a long battle, but I hope you can now rest easy and at peace.

Merlyn, I was sorry to hear of Jerry's passing, and am sorry I couldn't make it yesterday.  As you know I worked with Jerry both at CSU before we started Western Scientific, and 10 years there.  Over the years Jerry often called me to verify what some surplus radar parts were so he could sell them.  I am glad Joan and I were able to ""bump into you both"" at the Charcoal Broiler a few months ago and had a chance to talk to you briefly.  Peace be with you and your family.

For 31 years Jerry has been a wonderful next-door neighbor.  He and Phil spent many an hour visiting over the backyard fence, Phil standing on his ""neighboring rock"".  They helped each other with projects (e.g. Phil stood guard while Jerry went down into the sewer line), went fishing together, and Phil said Jerry saved his life when our gas line blew early one morning.  I will miss Jerry's friendly smile and his ""Hi neighbor"" whenever he saw me.  Good neighbors are a golden nugget in life and Jerry will be greatly missed.
