

Gerald (Jerry) Eugene Minor, 80, of Loveland Colorado was born December 11, 1931 in Fanshawe, Oklahoma to Nora Lee Coplan and Lonnie O. Minor. He graduated in 1950 from Sanger High School in California. After graduating from high school, he joined the Air Force and served four years on the 42nd Communications Squadron as a high-speed radio operator. He served the majority of his military service in Anchorage and Fairbanks, Alaska.
He married his high school sweetheart, Lorrayne Louise Brehm, September 1953 in Sanger, California.
Jerry loved working with people and his career was spent in the sales industry. He started out working for McKesson Robbins as a pharmaceutical sales rep and then Revlon Cosmetics. He then went into the tire business and moved his family to Sacramento California. He pursued his dream of owning a small business and moved to Loveland Colorado in 1980 and opened Rocky Mountain Tire in Loveland and Ft. Collins. He was a well-liked and respected member of the community.
His church affiliations were with LifeSpring Covenant, Crossroads, and more recently Foundations Church in Loveland. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Wednesday, August 22.
His parents, Lonnie O. and Nora L. Minor, preceded him in death. He leaves behind his only sibling, Loyd Minor and wife Betty. The joy of his life was spending time with his family and sharing as much time as he could with them. He leaves behind his loving wife Lorrayne, his three children, Cherie Coe and husband Steve of Evergreen, Colorado, Paula Cabral of Rio Vista, California, and his son Jim Minor and wife Michelle of Loveland. He also leaves behind six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Southgate Church in Fort Collins with Pastor Carl Sutter officiating.
