My husband and I feel very blessed to have known Gertrude Johnson.  Our hearts go out to all her family members, in condolences for their loss of a loved one. 
We met Gertrude when we moved to Greeley Colorado in April of 1997.  We joined the Greeley Baptist Temple and began a ministry to help get the elderly to church.  My husband drove a van for the church with a wheelchair lift.  We then began even more of a ministry with several elderly people we took to church.  We took them out to lunch and dinner and had them over to our house for various occasions.  We became very close, especially to Gertrude.  She became one of our family, because we were all in the family of God.  We thank the Lord for our close friendship even up until the end of Gertrude's life her on earth.  Now we are comforted in knowing that she is in the care of the Lord.  She will be greatly missed, until we meet again,when we will be with the Lord and our work on earth is done.
