

Gladys June Johnson, 90 of Greeley, passed away at Hospice of Northern Colorado. Gladys was born in Greeley to Anna (Bernhardt) and Jacob Lebsack on June 21, 1925. She was the eleventh of twelve children -three sisters, one dying at a very young age, and eight brothers.
Gladys attended schools in Eaton, Gill and Greeley. She graduated from Greeley High School in 1943.
Gladys worked for Mountain Bell as an operator until marrying Neil Johnson at St. Paul’s Congregational Church on January 9, 1944. They were married for 60 years. She was a homemaker and mother to five children. They lived and farmed in the Greeley area for many years before moving into Greeley, then to Eaton and then to Ft. Collins in 1970. She then moved back to Eaton for 5 years after Neil passed away on January 25, 2004. She lived at Meadow View of Greeley for 6 years.
Gladys was an avid bowler and golfer, participating often in league play for over 40 years. She also held offices in both the city and state organizations for both sports. She and Neil were able to travel to and play beautiful golf courses all over the United States. She was also able to participate in many state bowling tournaments. She enjoyed dancing and listening to books on CD.
Gladys is survived by her brother Art Lebsack, Littleton, CO; children Karen (Gene) Rempel, Rick Johnson, Lynn (JoLynn) Johnson, Kent Johnson, and Gail Robinson; grandchildren Kelly (Ray) Miles, Brad (Hope) Rempel, Mary Robinson, Tamera Johnson, Jessica (Brandon) Aldaco, Briana (David) Avendano and Kate Johnson; 10 great-grandchildren; and 3 step great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Rueben, Raymond, Herman, Jacob, Richard, Daniel and Leroy Lebsack; and sisters Leona Urich and Pauline Leffler.
A visitation will be held starting at 10:00 A.M. with services to follow at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at the Allnutt Macy Chapel. Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
