Harold Casey Jones

Dr. Harold “Casey” Jones, of Estes Park CO, formerly of Johnstown, CO died at the Estes Park Medical Center early Sunday morning October 19, 2014. He was 96 years old. Harold Dwight Jones was born July 31, 1918 in a farmhouse 5 miles North of Wetonka, SD. His parents were Clarence and Nellie Heagley Jones. Harold received his Bachelor’s Degree from Northern State Teacher’s college in Aberdeen, SD, his Master’s Degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder and his Doctorate Degree from the University of Denver. On June 15, 1947 he married Betty Gail Nelson on her family farm near Kidder, SD. Harold served his country during World War II in the United States Air Force. He was a Career Planning and Placement Director at Fresno State University in California. He is survived by his wife Betty Jones of Estes Park, daughters Vicki Bien and her husband Gary of Estes Park, and Shelley Jones of NY, NY and son Randy Jones of (Madison, WI). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister Helen Alder and granddaughter Stephanie Jones. A memorial service is planned to celebrate Harold’s life on Thursday October 23, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Estes Park Good Samaritan Village 1902 Ptarmigan Trail. Interment in Britton, SD Cemetery.
