Jamie Lynn Scott

Jamie Lynn Scott, age 69, of Boulder, formerly of Canon City, CO, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 10, 2023. She was born November 16, 1953, to Harvey Edward and Shirley Deone Scott, the oldest of their four children.

She grew up in the Weld County area and attended Gilcrest and Platte Valley Schools. As an adult she move to Pueblo area where she earned an associate degree in business administration from Pueblo Community College and a ministerial degree from her church's bible college all while living and working as an S.O.S. Facility Aide and staff member of Lohse's New Life Home. She also lived in the mountains near Westcliffe and in the Canon City area. In 2021, due to health issues and in order to be closer to her family, she moved to Mesa Vista of Boulder. Jamie was a mentor to others and actively participated in several mental health peer support groups throughout her life. She enjoyed attending prayer and bible studies and volunteered to help with her church's vacation bible school. She was most recently active at the residents' Lutheran church services at Mesa Vista in Boulder and at Connect Church in Canon City. She volunteered at the humane society and was always willing to help her friends and family.

Jamie's hobbies were taking oil painting classes, making porcelain dolls and crocheting granny square afghan throws for friends and family.

Jamie is survived by her brother, Tim (Cindy) Scott of Kersey, CO; sister, Julie Rogers of Potter, NE; niece, Mindy Lynn Scott, four nephews, Eric (Amber) Scott of Steamboat Springs, CO, Rory (Sarah) Scott of Buxton, GA; Nathan (Serena) Rogers and Sean Rogers, all of Gering, NE; great niece and nephew Sutton and Declan Dean Scott of Buxton, GA; several cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents and grandparents, she was predeceased by her brother, Larry Dean Scott, and brother-in-law, Michael Rogers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to offset funeral expenses would be greatly appreciated.

A graveside service for Jamie will be held 10 am on Thursday, November 9th, 2023, at Johnstown Cemetery.
