Jimmie Dell Tregoning

Jimmie passed away peacefully on February 15, 2015 with his family by his side after a full and fun 83 years.

Jimmie graduated from Johnstown High in 1951 and enjoyed playing all sports. After graduation he enlisted in the Navy and spent 4 years serving his country. After returning home Jimmie attended Colorado State College majoring in Physical Ed. During his time at UNC he decided that a career as a union electrician was the direction he wanted to go. He spent the next 35 plus years working on many major construction projects in the western US and ended up as a 50+ year member of the UBEW.

Jimmie married Alleen Lutz on June 26, 1954 and they spent 50 wonderful years together. Together they raised a family, traveled the world, had many great ski vacations and were blessed to truly enjoy each other’s company both in the good times and times of struggle.

Jimmie enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, skiing, tending to his garden, and the occasional gambling trip. But most of all he enjoyed the time he had with his grandchildren and great grandchildren spending many a happy day at the ballpark, school plays, cheerleading competitions, hockey rinks, and many skate parks.

Jimmie was preceded by his parents William and Stella Tregoning, brother Vern Tregoning and other in-laws.

Jimmie is survived by his daughter Connie and Bob Schubring, son Mike and Kim Tregoning, grand kids; Sarah, Eric, Amanda and Aldo Mundaca, Ryan, Bret and Taylor as well as his great- grand kids Elie and David.

A visitation will be held from 4-6:00 P.M. Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the Allnutt Macy Chapel. Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 23, 2015 at the Allnutt Macy Chapel. Inurment at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
