John Adam Statley, 85, passed away on March 5, 2026. Born on September 5, 1940, in Colorado, John was a hard-working man whose life was rooted in family, responsibility, and the steady values he carried with him throughout the years. John was a resident of Greeley, Colorado.
Born in Colorado, he grew up as one of five children to Andy and Ester Statley in Morgan County. In his early childhood, his family moved onto a farm in Brush, CO.
John worked as a truck driver, a role that reflected his dependable nature and strong work ethic.
He enjoyed plowing the fields and working on cars. He also enjoyed taking road trips out of Southern California to visit his wife’s family. John loved playing cards—especially Phase 10, Rummy, and Uno—and he also enjoyed spending time with word searches.
John was known for his spaghetti, roast dinners, and goulash—meals that brought people together and will be remembered with warmth by those who shared his table.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Shenandoah Lea Statley, and his parents, Andy and Ester Statley. He is survived by his children: Sheldon Chadwick, Brandy Atkins, Rex Statley, Randy Statley.
