

Joseph Wayne Forzani, 70, of Fort Collins, Colorado passed away, Tuesday, September 28, 2016. He was born October 25, 1945 in Monterey, California to Roy and Florence Forzani and was the second youngest of nine children. Joe idolized his late brother Roy who’s work ethic and perseverance were guiding principles in how Joe led his own life.
He was a man of many trades and was very creative with his hands. After graduating high school in Monterey, he went to school to learn to cut hair and worked with a florist arranging flowers. In the 70’s Joe moved to Steamboat and ultimately settled down into his life’s work as a master carpenter and tile worker. Joe married Lavon Rochlitz on December 23rd, 1977. They had two children together, Amanda and Matthew.
Joe loved spending time with his kids and grandchildren, his work as a carpenter, his blue 1982 GMC Sierra truck, CU Buffs football, hunting and fishing, and his passion for family and faith.
Joe is survived by his two children, Amanda and Matthew and two grandchildren, Liam and Elijah. HIs former wife Lavon and his siblings, Marie, Doug, Florence and Irene.
He was preceded in death by his siblings Peter, Dolores, Roy and Joanne.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, October 6th at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 101 North Howes Street, Fort Collins, CO 80521. Donations can be sent to the family and flowers can be sent to Saint Josephs Catholic Church.
