

Juanita Nolasco Salazar, 85, of Greeley died February 3, 2015 at Hospice of Northern Colorado. Juanita was born May 27, 1929 in Del Rio, Texas to Meliton and Carlota (Ramirez) Nolasco. She was raised in Ciudad Acuña, Coahila. She attended school through the 3rd grade in Mexico. Juanita married Eduardo Salazar on March 4, 1952 in LaPryor, Texas.
Juanita was a homemaker and also worked as a Field Laborer. In her free time, Juanita enjoyed socializing with her friends and going to the casinos in Blackhawk. She loved people watching at Wal-Mart, watching the Novellas, professional wrestling – WWF, and listening to Spanish music. Flowers and gardening were also very dear to her. Her family was the love of her life and she will be dearly missed by all of them.
Juanita is survived by her son Abel Salazar and daughters-in-law Maria Segura, Augustina Segura and Louise Salazar; grandchildren Janie Sanchez, Laura Patricia Segura-Hurtado, Joe Segura, Martin Segura Jr., Mary Hernandez, Lupe Segura Jr., Irma Salazar, Rosemary Salazar, Novela Salazar and Rene Salazar; 22 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren Andrew Jay Briceno and Kaylea Marie Segura. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Eduardo Salazar; two sons Martin Segura Sr. and Guadalupe Segura.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Sunday, February 8, followed by Recitation of the Rosary both at Stoddard Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, February 9, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
