Joan and family, I am sorry for  your loss.  He was a big man with a big heart and ready smile.  I still remember our G.S. troop visit to his chambers at the court house.  So very exciting.  I remember your mom and dad walking by our house with a wave to my folks.  Good times.  Good people.  I know you will miss him.

We were sorry to hear about Judge Shannon's passing.  He was our neighbor on Mountain Avenue.  We enjoyed our conversations when he would stop and talk while taking his daily walk.  We missed his presence when he moved away and Mountain Avenue just didn't seem the same.  He had a wonderful active mind.  Condolences to his family.

I was Judge Shannon's next-door neighbor on West Mountain Avenue for a number of years, and he was the first to welcome us in person to the neighborhood - and with a cherry pie. We had different perspectives about most political and social issues but shared an interest in good nutrition and health. I enjoyed many conversations with Dale about early Fort Collins and the growth of our West Mountain neighborhood, and appreciated his tolerance of Kika, a cat who strongly preferred the sunshine on his back steps to her own back porch. You, all, are in my thoughts and prayers.  Judge Shannon was one of my father, Ray Kruse's, best friends.  Dad thought he was a man on great integrity, honesty with a great sense of humor.  Dad was thrilled to have Judge Shannon as the key note speaker at the Kruse Elementary School Dedication.  Remember the special times.  They keep our loved ones with us forever.

Our thoughts and prayers are the family.  He will be greatly missed by family and friends.  He was a contributor to our society and will be remembered by his contributions.

The Lott family were neighbors to the Shannons on Mulberry street many years ago.  Sorry to hear about the judge's passing and  also to learn that James and Arlene were deceased.

Judge Shannon was a pillar in the community and someone my family always looked up to in the highest regard. I would like to send his family condolences and our sympathy on his homegoing.

I knew Judge Shannon only professionally and I had absolute respect for his integrity, his honesty, and his consistency in his professional life. I was honored to have known him at all. My condolences to all of you.
