Hello, Steve, it was my privilege to care for Kristine during her last year of life.  You were such a devoted husband and always took such good care of her. I have tremendous admiration and respect for your dedication and wish you nothing but peace and comfort in your life. Kristine will always be remembered by me as having the most positive attitude and upbeat outlook on life of anyone I know.  I worked closely with Kritine at Tetra Tech and she will be missed!

I just received the news from Sarina Baptista. I had no idea Kris had been fighting cancer. I was out in Colorado many times 5 years ago after the passing of Sarina's son, JT and spent many evenings playing bunco with the girls. Kris was hysterical. She was always so warm and her smile and laugh could light a up a room. She was also one of the few people who was right by Sarina's side long after the initial trauma subsided. What a lovely, lovely, lovely soul. Steven, and the her entire family, I'm sending hugs across the miles.

I was so sorry to hear of the loss of Kristine.  I knew her at Woodward and remember her being an active member of the Activities Committee at Woodward handing out cookies and hot chocolate at the annual Woodward Christmas light walk through.  My prayers are with the family.

I feel very privileged to have been one of Kris's friends.  We met through Project Linus and we shared a love of quilting.  Kris was one of the most courageous people I've ever known; she will always be an inspiration.  I also loved her quirky sense of humor and her upbeat personality.  Sorry I never got to teach you how to make quilted stars, but Kris you surely are now one of the stars in heaven.  Steve, please be comforted by the thoughts of the many lives Kris touched; she will be greatly missed!

Kris, You will be missed so much but your spirit and how you touched so many will live on. I will always hear you greeting me with a big ""Hey Bro!"", I'll miss your smile and of course your home baked cookie platter at the holidays. You were incredibly brave, kind, generous and caring. I worked with Kristen at Tetra Tech and I was incredible impressed with her intelligence, capabilities, demeanor and fortitude.  She took on an extremely difficult task when she joined Tetra Tech, fixing our intercompany balances which were way out due to a lack of attention and knowledge by a previous individual.  She jumped right in and fixed every discrepancy no matter how old and difficult it was to hunt down.  She was tenancious.  A characteristic that served her well not only at work but in her fight against this terrible disease.  When she was first diagnosed and was on chemo, she still showed up to work when she felt up to it which just amazed us all.  Given the fight she was in and the toll it took on her body, she still wanted to come to work.  When she had recovered and beat all the odds, we were impressed with her incredible strength, her resilence and her always positive attitude. We were all humbled.  When the cancer resurfaced, we were devastated but Kristine continued her fight and her positive attitude.  She will always remain an incredible inspiration and our lives are better because of her.  She will be greatly missed.

We weren't lucky enough to know Kristine very well but everything we have heard from her loving Mary S. and her dad was of the highest regard. We know that she was a very giving, loving and brave woman and everything that she has done to help others will never be forgotten. We will keep you Steven and her entire family in our prayers at this time.

Dear Steve,
I am so sorry that Kris couldn't beat this. She put up such a courageous fight, and you were there every step of the way to be her support. Kris was smart, funny, kind and caring, and most of all, positive and upbeat. There are people in one's life who will always be remembered and admired, and she is at the top of my list. I know the last 3 1/2 years have been hard on you both, so please know that you will be in our thoughts as you grieve over the loss of your life companion.

Kris was our Project Linus friend!  She loved learning to quilt & making blankets for the kids!  She had such a positive attitude & was an inspiration to me & others.  I am so very sorry for your loss, Steve & family.  Kris was such a sweet lady with a beautiful spirit & she'll be missed so much! I got to know Kristine at Tetra Tech after our company was bought and we joined MMI in the same building.  Kristine was the first person to come over and say welcome and I looked forward to her visits.  She was the happiest, kindest person and shared her story of beating the cancer two times and her solo walk at Relay for Life.  Her courage always inspired me and I feel blessed to have known her for a short while.  I send the sincerest condolences to her husband and family.

Steve, We cannot express our true feelings on Kris's passing. We all were rooting for her to make her 50th Big Day.  She will always be our best neighbor and will never be forgotten.  Please keep in touch

We will miss you, Kris.  Even though you were miles away, you always remained in our hearts. You've done so much for each of the Pauplis families. You greeted me (Karen), your first sister-in-law into the family with open arms and heart. You threw my wedding and later my first baby shower and I will never forget those special moments We were proud when you and Steve agreed to be Michael's God parents. You were a very special friend and sister-in-law.  We know in are in good hands now and are at peace. May your special memories and your strength light the path of healing for Steve.  We love you!!
