We have three special memories of Aunt Lois. Our kids got to meet her and Uncle Jim when we visited Ft. Collins one summer.  What a gracious lady! We also enjoyed our time with the whole clan at the Gordon reunion at Lake Pomme de Terre. The last time we were together was at John and Connie's 50th wedding anniversary celebration. Our sympathy to the family.  Lois was a lovely woman who brought joy to so many.

Lois was such a beautiful soul - quiet friendly with a wry sense of humor.  I can attest to the fact that she was an excellent bridge player and showed no mercy,  but you could never get upset with that engaging smile.  She was an asset to Chapter AL, P.E.O. and we missed her when she moved to Loveland.  I also have one of Jim's cross stitch Christmas door hangars.  Lois took pride in bringing one of his creations  to our annual Christmas auction.  Thinking of her will always bring a smile to my face as well as many memories.

Grandma, what the obituary does not say, is that you were and are so loved. You were the kindest adult I knew growing up and you provided me with endless happy memories. You were the classiest woman I knew and the true definition of beauty. Whether it be as a military wife exuding all the graciousness, professionalism, and fortitude necessary in that position or as a grandmother helping her granddaughter feel loved by spending time with her conversing, going on walks, or baking…there are no others like you. You saw beauty everywhere around you. You even wrote poetry about it. I feel so fortunate to have had you in my life; to have known your love and patience, and curiosity.
