Born in Sterling, CO, on January 22, 1955 to Harold and Mary Mitchell. Lois was raised in Fleming, CO before moving to Greeley in grade school. Lois met David Raehal in the 7th grade and they were together ever since. The two were married on November 18, 1973. Lois worked as a Commercial Courier for many different companies. She was a big Elvis fan; she had many Elvis collectables. Lois was very family oriented. She was a foster child and reunited the family in 1998; after 37 years apart. Lois loved to craft, do crossword puzzles, word searches, coloring books and she loved to read. She was content as long as she could use her hands. Lois loved to be in nature; whether it was fishing or just enjoying the scenery.
Lois is survived in life by her husband, David Raehal; daughters, Elena, Judy; sons, David, Richard; brothers, Richard Loewen, Ed Rober; 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.
Lois is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Mitchell; brothers, Howard, Robert; and sister Virginia, daughter, Mary Jean, and Niece Marie Starr.
A visitation will be held Friday, June 23, 2023 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 W. 28th Street, Greeley, CO 80634. Funeral service will be Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Stoddard Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3400 W. 28th Street, Greeley, CO 80634.
