

Gwynne Robb, 90, passed away on Nov 26, 2017 in Cheyenne, WY. She was born on Aug 17, 1927 in Scott City, KS to Frank and Hazel Robb. She was an educator, a pioneer, a world traveler, and a philanthropist. She attended Colorado Women’s College and received her teaching degree from the University of Denver in 1949. She began teaching in Oregon before returning to Colorado to teach physical education in Alamosa and Estes Park, and later in Cheyenne, WY. She earned a Master of Arts in education in 1962 from Colorado State University, expanding her career as a counselor and eventually becoming an assistant principal. She was one of few women to hold such an administrative role at the time. She was a generous supporter of Meals on Wheels, the Cheyenne Animal Shelter, Colorado State University, the Salvation Army, and many other organizations. She was a devoted member of the Buckhorn Presbyterian Church in Masonville, CO. She is survived by great niece Kelsey Robb, and great nephew Maxwell (Kimberly) Robb. A graveside funeral service will be held at 10 am on Dec 2, 2017 at Loveland Burial Park. A memorial service will also be held at 11 am on Dec 4, 2017 at First Christian Church in Cheyenne, WY. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Red Feather Lakes Volunteer Fire Department (www.rflvfd.org).
