Lucia M. Zamora, 83 of Plattevile, Colorado, passed away at her home on January 8, 2020. She was born March 3, 1936 in LaSalle, CO to Lorenza (Cruz) and Cirilo Perez. She married Bernardo Zamora on April 24, 1955 in Greeley. He died in October of 1986.

Lucia graduated from Greeley High School. She worked for the Department of Human Services for 29 years until she retired.

Lucia attended St. Nicholas Church in Platteville. She enjoyed crocheting, and working in her yard and gardens. She loved taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Ben (Debra) Zamora; daughters Deborah Dominguez, Peggy (Lee) Molina, Eleanor Zamora, Rosanne (Larry) Madrid and Lorene Zamora; brothers, Tony, Alex, and Tom Perez and sisters, Virginia Aragon and Porphy Gonzales; 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bernardo, brothers Lupe Perez and Cirilo Perez Jr.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2020 starting at 5:00 P.M. with a Rosary to follow starting at 7:00 P.M. at the Allnutt Macy Chapel, 6521 W. 20th Street, Greeley. Burial 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 17, 2020 at at Mizpah Cemetery, Platteville, CO.
