

Luke Wade Bryan III “Wade”, 74, of Johnstown passed away on July 26, 2014 in Loveland. Wade was born May 7, 1940 in Oakland, CA. He was the son of Luke Wade II and Mildred (Hughes) Bryan. Wade graduated from Military Academy in San Rafael, CA. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and honorably served from 1959-1971. Wade was also know as ""Smokey"" because of the years he spent fighting fires as a volunteer with the National Forest Service. Wade married Louise Bryan in 1961, they later divorced. He married Michele Eccher on October 25, 2003 in La Pine, OR. Wade was a purchasing supervisor in the aerospace industry in San Diego, CA. He retired from Erickson Air Crane in Medford, OR in May 2004. Wade spent the last six years working for Big R of Greeley, most recently in purchasing. Wade attended Front Range Baptist Church in Fort Collins. He enjoyed history, military history, gunsmithing and cooking. Wade is survived by his wife Michele Bryan; daughters Michelle (John) Payne, Liann Bryan and Karla (Tammi) Bryan; step sons Steve (Brenda) and Scott Storey; step daughter Jennifer Briggle; sister Margaret (Marti); grandchildren Rachel, Maeve, and Declan Payne, Megan Mayo, Casey and Molly Briggle, Allyson Storey and Dana Tellez; and great grandchildren Lily and Toryn Mayo. A committal service with military honors will take place on Friday, August 8th , 2:15pm at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging area C.
