

Marcos grew up in Galeton, where he attended grade school. He then attended school in Eaton, graduating from Eaton High School in 1983. During school, Marcos participated in track, wrestling and football. After graduation, he went to work at Monfort of Colorado, Weld County Sheriff’s office and for the past six years at Leprino Foods. He always had a job and had a strong work ethic.
Marcos was a member of the Healing Way Church, Greeley. He was very religious and had become a preacher, which took Evangelist in many communities in Colorado. He was a talented musician; playing the guitar and accordion. He loved Tejano music and to sing and dance. Marcos was also a gifted artist with drawing.
Marcos was a Denver Broncos fan, enjoyed boxing and cooking many dishes.
Marcos is survived by his significant other, Rose Mendez of Evans; sons, Marcos Reyes Garza of Greeley; parents, Candy and Marcos C. Garza, Sr. of Galeton; sisters, Alicia Piñon (Fredy) of Friona, Texas and Lisa Maria Gonzales of Brighton; brother, Rick Garza (Shiela Torres) of Galeton and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 29, 2018 followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00 p.m. both at Stoddard Funeral Home. Interment Evans Cemetery.
