Thanksgiving Day
I am thankful for the kind, compassionate and considerate care that my wife received while in the hospital and the nursing home, especially Dr. Thompson who helped me make the very difficult choice of putting my wife on D.N.R. and made her comfortable in her last days of our lives!
I am so thankful for my family who upheld me with prayers and love.
I am thankful for the nurses and nursing staff who compassionately and lovingly cared for my wife and me too!
I am thankful for my work family who always offered help, whenever and whatever they could do!
I am thankful for all of our friends who helped and hugged and loved thru it all, so nice to have all of those extra shoulders to bear the enormous load, which I could not have carried by myself, period.
I am thankful for all my earthly angels one and all that stood by us!
I am thankful for 28 good years, not all great, not all bad, but together spent with my loving and fiery-spirited wife.
I am thankful for 24 more years after her lung cancer treatment by Dr. Kemme in 1996-1997 making memories, enjoying life, seeing sights, grandchildren and even great-grandchildren.
I am thankful for family, most of all, your love and support have made it possible to move on and look down the road and path that lay ahead!
I am thankful that my wife is no longer in pain and that my wife has her wings and is in Heaven!
